Health Education for Latinos Program - Scholarship

"This scholarship has put me one step closer in achieving my future personal and career goals. As I embark on my final year of my undergraduate career, this scholarship came at a crucial time. Over the summer, I faced significant adversity. With that came financial challenges, such as being able to figure out how to cover commute and book related expenses. This scholarship has allowed me to cover such expenses among other things."

"When I was a small boy living in Mexico with my family, I hoped to at least have a stable job to help my parents with their daily expenses. Then I was a freshman in High School, my dream to earn a Bachelor's degree became a goal. Now, as a third-year Fresno State student, and with the generosity of the United We Lead Foundation, IME Becas, and the HELP Fund, I will be able to surpass my past goals and expectations by increasing my education on a higher level. which will allow me to make a significant, personal impact in the lives of those in my community who need it.
